What is the Mystery of the Ages?

Colossians 1 says that “the mystery and its glorious riches were hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to us and that the mystery is Christ is in us, the hope of glory. And this mystery is what Paul was compelled by love to teach to others so that we may see everyone perfect in Christ.

As you read this, I want to remind you that the word "Christ" means Anointing. And that’s important to point out because often times when we read the words "Jesus Christ", it's easy to gloss over the word Christ as if it is his last name. But what its saying is that Jesus is the Christ, he is the anointing. And the bible says that all that he is, and all that he has, has been given to us. That is because of our oneness with the anointed one. So, when we read that the mystery of the ages is Christ in us the hope of glory, it translates to the anointing in us is the hope of glory. So, you ARE anointed!

I pray these verses would spring forth in your life as you read them.

Ephesians1:3-10says that God our Father has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. 4For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love 5He predestined us for adoption as His sons through Jesus the Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the Beloved One. 7In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9And He has made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to bring all things in heaven and on earth together in Christ.

Acts 17:24 says The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

And Paul throughout his letters constantly says that we are the temple of God.

Romans 11:36 For everything began with him and continues its existence because of him.

1 Corinthians 10:26 “FOR THE EARTH IS THE LORD’S, AND ALL IT CONTAINS.”

Colossians 1:15-20The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.

17He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and firstborn from among the dead, so that in all things He may have preeminence. 19For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, 20and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.

Colossians 2: 8-10 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. 10And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

So, I know for some people these scriptures about spiritual and mystical truths can be hard to wrap our minds around or maybe you understand it but can't receive it for yourself, you are convinced that somehow you are excluded... well let me put that doubt to rest because the mystery of Christ in us is not only a spiritual reality but is a physical one too.

I want to share a few biological discoveries with you because I hope that it will help convince you that your spiritual and physical realities are not separate. You are a super-natural- new creation in Christ, one, whole, complete in him.

The first one I want to share with you is that Scientists have studied the genetic code within the human body. And the foundational elements in every person and their corresponding numbers are 1,5,6,3. When they looked those numbers up in Hebrew, Arabic and Sanskrit, in which each number also has a word and letter assigned to it. They found that every human's DNA code has these words “God, Eternal, Within the body.” This shows Gods intention for us since the foundation of the world! Click here to watch a video about this discovery.

The second one is the protein cell binding molecule that literally holds us together. It holds hands within us like the scaffolding that keeps us from being a big blob. It's called Laminin and it is made up of 3 strands that form a cross! We are literally glued together with the cross. Click here to watch a short video from a pastor sharing about laminin.

The third one is that as scientists have been studying matter they went deeper from just seeing what was on the surface of an object to discovering molecules, then atoms then electrons, neutrons, protons, and as they’ve kept finding smaller and smaller particles, they finally found 4 forces and on a deeper level the 4 became 3, the 3 became 2 then found that it all came from one Unified field. And that all things in existence manifest from this place of oneness. And they have discovered that when people meditate, they experience life beyond surface realities. But it's not about looking outside yourself, it's about looking within that will help us to experience a place of pure consciousness, oneness, infinite creativity, intelligence, energy, love, power, bliss, dynamic peace. That has always been there, never had a beginning, will never end. Its unbound, infinite, eternal, immutable, immortal consciousness, fullness, and that any human being can experience this easily and effortlessly. These words are being used by people who are not even talking about Jesus and yet they know that these are the attributes at the core of every human being. This core is the Trinity within us. The Life Force of 3 in 1. The God head creating us in their image and likeness. Click here to watch the video about this. But I want to clarify that I do not follow these teachings or believe in transcendental meditation. I am only sharing these sources because it points to the higher truth that we are in Christ, and he is in us.

And then John wraps it up with these verses in 1Corinthians 1:18-25 The Message (MSG).

"The Message that points to Christ on the Cross seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out. It’s written, "I’ll turn conventional wisdom on its head, I’ll expose so-called experts as shams." So where can you find someone truly wise, truly educated, truly intelligent in this day and age? Hasn’t God exposed it all as pretentious nonsense? Since the world in all its fancy wisdom never had a clue when it came to knowing God, God in his wisdom took delight in using what the world considered stupid—preaching, of all things!—to bring those who trust him into the way of salvation. 22-25While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go in for philosophical wisdom, we go right on proclaiming Christ, the Crucified."

Here are some quotes from before modern times that echo these revelations.

4th century Athanasius:

“He became what we are so that he might make us what he is.”

"For He was made man that we might be made God."

“The body of the Word, then, being a real human body, in spite of its having been uniquely formed from a virgin, was of itself mortal and, like other bodies, liable to death. But the indwelling of the Word loosed it from this natural liability, so that corruption could not touch it. Thus is happened that two opposite marvels took place at once: the death of all was consummated in the Lord's body; yet, because the Word was in it, death and corruption were in the same act utterly abolished.”

"For the Word, realizing that in no other way would the corruption of men be undone except, simply by dying, yet being immortal Word and Son of God, to this end He takes to Himself a body capable of death, that it, by partaking of the Word Who is above all, might be worthy to die in the stead of all."

"As, then, he who desires to see God Who by nature is invisible and not to be beheld, may yet perceive and know Him through His works, so too let him who does not see Christ with his understanding at least consider Him in His bodily works and test whether they be other than human; and if they be not other, but are, beyond the nature of man, marvelous, let him admit that He is God, and that the body is become God-bearing, since it is wholly filled with God."

4th century Augustine:

“And men go abroad to admire the heights of mountains, the mighty waves of the sea, the broad tides of rivers, the compass of the ocean, and the circuits of the stars, yet pass over the mystery of themselves without a thought.”

St. Teresa of Avila (1515–1582 AD):

"Christ has no body now on earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which the compassion of Christ must look out on the world."

Julian of Norwich (1342–c. 1416 AD):

"All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well."

"The fullness of joy is to behold God in everything."

Hildegard von Bingen (1098–1179 AD):

"The soul is kissed by God in its innermost regions. With interior yearning, grace and blessing are bestowed. It is a yearning to take on God's gentle yoke, to rest in God, to come into God's heart as God enters ours."

"O Holy Spirit, you are the mighty way in which everything that is in the heavens, on the earth, and under the earth, is penetrated with connectedness, penetrated with relatedness."

“The Word is living, being, spirit, all verdant greening, all creativity. This Word manifests itself in every creature.”

And I'll end it with telling you about the image with red smiling faces in it. They are blood cells because one evening in one of the prayer parties we attend online, my friend Matt Spinks was talking about how Life is a celebration of Christ and I felt like writing so I grabbed a pen and paper and asked Jesus what he was saying to me and he said "Celebration" so I started writing and I accidentally wrote CELL and when I went to erase the extra L I felt him say "no, keep it.. Cell-liberation" then we got a download of how celebration liberates our cells! celebrating the incarnation liberates our bodies. It is such a powerful and childlike thing to contemplate. so, enjoy my friends. Thanks for reading and please reach our or add to the discussion.
